The earth burger started out in a little eco village in the eastern cape of South Africa. This
permaculture paradise is called Ikwhezi Lokusa (meaning morning star, Venus)
Every Monday we would be grating beetroots and smashing lentils all day long. After sunset all
our friends would gather in the communal kitchen to enjoy the Monday earth burger feast.
We would have home-made bread, hummus, guacamole, tzatziki, sprouts, a beautiful garden salad
and enough to feed an army.
Everyone loved the earth burgers so much that we would have to make enough for Tuesday
breakfast too. Some Mondays we would make over 40 burgers to feed the happy hippies of
Ikwhezi.
This is our original burger and has been loved by many for over 10 years now. Made from lentils
that have been sprouted for 2 days, carrots, beetroots, garlic, coconut flour, flax seed, moringa
and spices.
Our burgers are packed with fresh ingredients and herbs – lentils, carrots, beetroot, sweet potato, flax seed, coconut flour, garlic, moringa, cumin, coriander, cayenne pepper, himalayan salt.
Moringa is used in developing countries for correcting malnutrition because of it’s superior nutritional qualities. Add just a little to your daily diet to get that moringa magic!
